I’m a fantasy author, an Author Accelerator certified book coach, and an educator.

I’m here to fill the cracks that fantasy and
sci-fi authors fall into.

A few years ago, I considered applying for an MFA. I wanted to teach at the collegiate level, I wanted to write books for a living, and I wanted to be as educated in my field as I could. Turns out, so many programs turn up their noses at speculative fiction authors. They encourage us to “write outside of our comfort zone” and just try a literary fiction. Their coursework isn’t about worldbuilding and making sure your magic system doesn’t have any plot holes.

I realized pretty quickly that there wasn’t really an educational space for US. So, I decided to become it.

I became a book coach because it took me three years and five drafts to write my first novel. I was self-taught, working full-time, and wasted months learning and re-learning how to write. I want to help speculative fiction authors get it right the first time, and write books that they are proud to see on the library shelves.

I’ve lived many lives in not so many years. I studied for a Doctorate in Sports and Performance Psychology. I was a bookseller at the same time I was an aspiring publishing professional. I taught toddlers and preschoolers. I built an online healing community of over 100,000 during the pandemic. All of it adds up to what I am now: an educator, a brain geek, a book fiend, and a provider of support and functioning systems that help you to be the best writer that you can be.
