Hi, I’m Laurynn Fox.
I’m a fantasy author, a book coach in training, and a bookseller.
Stories matter more to me than anything in the world. Writing my own stories and helping others to share theirs is what gives me fire and light in life.
After years of ghostwriting for small publishers and building stories for others, I finally decided to pursue my own dreams. I’ve been writing my debut epic fantasy novel for two years, so I know the struggle! Becoming a book coach has shaped my own approach to my stories and my writing process, and I’m thrilled to share all of that with you!
I would love to hear about your book, about your journey, and where I fit into your process.
My Approach
I love a balance of tough love and cheerleading as a book coach. I’m here to give you the answers straight, but also provide you with the guidance and support to move forward. We will have hard discussions, we will disagree, but we will always push toward a book that we will be proud to have on our shelves!
So, what is a book coach?
A book coach is someone to guide and support you throughout the writing process. This means drafting, self-doubt, outlining, lack of motivation, not knowing what the next scene truly looks like - all of those issues can be brought to one person. From building your idea from the very first inkling to querying and playing the market, a book coach assists every step of the way.
What does a book coach do?
That depends entirely on what the client needs! Ultimately, the goal is to get writers un-stuck and back into the writing chair. Whether that’s building the foundations of a book, going through a developmental edit, or exploring agents to query, a book coach can assist with all of it.
